What Tauck actually sells on the Seine
Tauck is aimed first at upscale North American travelers, and it also sells its trips to British guests on a site priced in pounds sterling. On the Seine it has two products: Impressions from the Seine: Paris to Normandy, eight days with seven nights on board, and Rendezvous on the Seine, ten days, which adds two hotel nights in Paris before you embark. Both run from April to October.
What sets Tauck apart from the other lines in our guide to Paris to Normandy river cruises is how far it takes the all-inclusive model: unlimited drinks, everyone's gratuities, transfers, excursions and private dinners. The headline price is high as a result, but there is very little to add once you are on board.
We have no partnership with Tauck and earn nothing if you book it. This page walks through the two itineraries, their price and who they suit, then shows what we do sell: sightseeing cruises in Paris and day trips to Normandy.
Impressions from the Seine: the eight-day week
According to Tauck's page, the shorter program covers Versailles, Paris, the D-Day beaches, Rouen, Giverny, Caudebec-en-Caux, Les Andelys and Tilly. It also includes a dinner reserved for Tauck guests at the Château du Taillis, in Duclair. The page we read does not give a day-by-day breakdown for this version, so we won't make one up.
The ship sails on past Rouen, which puts Tauck among the lines that reach the estuary, with a stop at Le Havre depending on the itinerary. That is a real difference from Viking or Uniworld, which turn around at Rouen or Caudebec. On the other hand, Tauck does not sail into Honfleur harbor the way Scenic or Riviera Travel do: on the ten-day version, you see Honfleur by coach.
The D-Day beaches day is done by coach, as on every line: the coast is a long way from the river, and the drive takes up a good part of the day. Giverny is visited from Vernon; Monet's house and gardens normally open from April 1 to November 1, according to tourism sources, which lines up with Tauck's season.

Rendezvous on the Seine: ten days, two hotel nights
The longer version starts with two hotel nights in Paris, then seven nights on board. Tauck adds Étretat, Honfleur, a Normandy cider farm, a private evening at a château and an early-opening visit to Giverny. Here is the day-by-day published by a reseller for next season, on the ms Reverie:

That outline is not Tauck's own page, so check it against your quote. The starting price Tauck shows is from £5,690 per person. Tauck also sells two "wellness" departures of this itinerary, one in the fall and one in high summer.
ms Serene and ms Reverie
Tauck's pages offer two ships for the Seine: the ms Serene and the ms Reverie, which the company describes as one of the newest in its fleet. A reseller puts them at about 124 guests and 50 crew, which means one crew member for fewer than three guests. Tauck does not say which ship sails on which date: you find out when you book.
Cabins fall into five categories by deck. We don't describe their layout: the deck plans shown on the official site belong to another ship in the fleet, and no reliable description of the Serene or the Reverie has been published. Ask for the exact plan of the ship on your date before you choose a category.
The name "Sapphire", which you sometimes come across, does not appear on Tauck's Seine pages.

All-inclusive: what the price really covers
This is where Tauck stands out. According to the eight-day itinerary page, the price includes:
- the ship and, for the longer version, the hotel in Paris;
- all excursions and admissions, by coach with guides;
- the special dinners, including the château evening;
- unlimited drinks on board: soft drinks, regional wine, beer and premium spirits;
- all customary gratuities: ship staff, guides, drivers, Cruise Director and Tauck Director;
- transfers from the airport or the train station, and port charges.
What you still pay for: your flights. Wi-Fi is not mentioned on the page.
In our view, along with Uniworld and Scenic, it is the only true all-inclusive in this category. With Viking or AmaWaterways, wine is served only with meals and gratuities are extra: compare the two prices once those extras are added in, otherwise the gap looks wider than it is.
Tauck Seine river cruise prices and booking
When we last checked, Tauck's UK site showed from £4,490 per person for Impressions from the Seine, in its "Classic" version, and from £5,690 for Rendezvous on the Seine. These are per person, double occupancy, for the coming seasons, without flights. Per night, the first works out at around £640: the top end of the Seine market.
Tauck asks for a £650 deposit, with the balance due 120 days before departure. Dollar prices on the US site can't be compared with the pound prices: different market, different currency.
For dates and cabins, go straight to the company's site: tauck.co.uk. The Paris embarkation pier is not on the page; as with every line, it is confirmed in your travel documents.

Who it suits, and who it doesn't
Tauck suits English-speaking travelers who don't want to pay for anything once on board: drinks, gratuities and transfers are settled in advance, excursions are guided, and the ten-day program adds a proper stay in Paris. The small number of guests and the private château evening point the same way.
It suits you less if budget matters: CroisiEurope sells its Seine week from about €1,659, in euros and in French, with drinks included at meals and at the bar but excursions as extras. Less, too, if you want to spend the night in Honfleur harbor, or if you would rather plan your own days.
Your days in Paris, before or after the cruise
With Rendezvous on the Seine you get two hotel nights in Paris before boarding; with the shorter version, nothing stops you from arriving the day before. That is the moment to see the Seine in a different way: a one-hour sightseeing cruise at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, around €20, or a Seine dinner cruise on your first evening.
The two big Eiffel Tower piers are next to each other: Bateaux Parisiens at Port de la Bourdonnais, pontoon 3, upstream of Pont d'Iéna, and Vedettes de Paris at Port de Suffren, downstream. The boats head upstream first, toward Notre-Dame and Île Saint-Louis. Our comparison of the one-hour Seine cruises gives the times and prices.

Normandy as a day trip, without a cruise
Don't have a week? You can get a taste of Normandy in a day from Paris. Giverny is 45 minutes to an hour by train from Saint-Lazare to Vernon-Giverny, plus a shuttle; you can also paddle the Seine by canoe or kayak there. Rouen is about 1 hour 30 minutes by train, and Rouen Tourisme's boat L'Escapade takes you out on the river. Honfleur has no train station, but a boat trip out under the Pont de Normandie is waiting for those who make the drive. Our Rouen and Honfleur page has the details.

Verdict
4.2/ 5
In our view, Tauck is the pick for travelers who want to pay once and never reach for their card again: everything is included, gratuities too, and the ten-day version gives you time to see Paris. The price matches, and you see Honfleur by coach rather than from the quay. If the budget is tight, Viking or CroisiEurope sail the same river for far less; either way, keep an evening free for a proper sightseeing cruise on the Seine.
