What seine.boats does
seine.boats answers the questions people have before they step onto a boat in Paris: which one-hour cruise to pick, which pier it leaves from, how long a dinner cruise lasts, what time to sail if you want to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle, whether a ticket is dated or open, and how the small companies measure up against the big ones. The site covers sightseeing cruises with commentary, night cruises, lunch and dinner on board, private boats, the Batobus hop-on hop-off boat, the Canal Saint-Martin, museum + cruise combos, and the multi-day river cruises from Paris to Normandy.
Every page starts from a concrete question and gives a clear answer whenever one exists. When our own opinion comes into it, we say so ("in our view"). When something depends on the company, the season or the level of the Seine, we say that too. For a first overview, start with all the Seine river cruises or with the map of the piers.
We are not a boat company
seine.boats does not operate any boat and is not the official website of any company: not Bateaux Parisiens, not Bateaux Mouches, not Vedettes de Paris, not Vedettes du Pont Neuf, not Batobus, nor anyone else. Nor are we the official website of GetYourGuide, Tiqets or Headout. Company names appear on the site so that we can describe and compare them; they belong to their owners, and we do not use their logos.
In practice, this means we cannot change a booking, refund a ticket or promise you a window table. Those questions are settled with the platform that took your payment, or with the boat company itself. Our contact page explains who to turn to in each case.
How we check the information
Timetables, piers, child age bands and cancellation terms change often on the Seine. So we work from the sources that carry authority:
- the companies' official websites: booking pages, FAQs, terms and conditions of sale, menus;
- public information on the ports and piers of Paris, so that each departure is placed at the right quay;
- the Paris tourist office, for the general background;
- the help centers of GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Headout, for each platform's own rules.
Every piece of information is recorded with the date it was checked. When two sources disagree, the company's official page wins over a reseller or a press article. When a detail is not published anywhere, we do not make it up: it stays off the page, or we suggest you check it on the day. Prices in the text are given as "from" and rounded; the prices shown in the cards and tables come from our partner platforms and carry their own update date. The price that counts is always the one on the checkout page.
How the site is funded
seine.boats is free to use, with no ad network and no banners. It is funded by affiliate commissions: when you book a cruise through one of our links to GetYourGuide, Tiqets or Headout, the platform passes a share of its margin on to us. You pay the same price as you would if you had reached the platform any other way.
Our partner links go straight to the platform, with no redirect page on our side. Some of the companies on the site have no offer with our partners at all: we cover them anyway, with a link to their own website. The full detail, including how the links are labeled, is on our affiliate disclosure page, and the three platforms are compared on GetYourGuide, Tiqets or Headout.
What we don't do
No account to create, no newsletter, no analytics tool at all, no ticket sales. The only setting the site remembers in your browser is whether you want the availability calendars to load automatically or only on click; it is described in our cookie policy. How data is handled is explained on the privacy page.
Who publishes the site
seine.boats is published by [OWNER: company name and legal form of the publisher]. The full legal information (registered office, registration, publication director, hosting provider) is in the legal notice.
Report a mistake
A departure time has changed, a pier has moved, a menu is no longer the same? Write to us at info@seine.boats, tell us which page it concerns and, if you can, include the link to the official source. We check and correct the page; we never publish a correction without first confirming it on an official source.
