Cookie Policy: What seine.boats Keeps in Your Browser

seine.boats sets no advertising, analytics or affiliate cookies. Only your calendar display preference is kept in your browser; our partners' calendars may set their own cookies, and you can block them.

Updated October 17, 2026Facts checked against official sources

Effective date: 17 October 2026.

Article 82 of the loi Informatique et Libertés (France's data protection act), read together with the CNIL's guidelines and recommendation on cookies and other trackers (the CNIL is the French data protection authority), requires your consent before any information is read from or written to your device. The exception is trackers that are strictly necessary for a service you have expressly asked for, such as remembering your choices. This page lists everything that may be stored on or read from your device when you visit seine.boats, by us or by third parties.

What seine.boats stores itself

A single piece of information, in your browser's local storage (localStorage), not in a cookie:

Name Content Purpose Duration
sb-cc 1 or 0 remembers whether the booking calendars load automatically (1) or only on click (0) until you clear this site's data in your browser

This value is only created if you make a choice in the calendar settings. It stays on your device, is never sent to us and cannot be used to follow you from one website to another. Its only job is to respect your choice, so it falls under the trackers that are exempt from consent.

We use no analytics tool, no advertising, no social media buttons and no session cookie: the site has no account and no cart.

The GetYourGuide and Tiqets calendars

Some pages show an availability calendar provided by GetYourGuide or by Tiqets. To display it, your browser loads a script from the platform's servers. That script may set or read the platform's cookies and trackers, under its own cookie policy, which we do not control.

  • By default, these scripts load automatically when you scroll down to a calendar.
  • If you choose "Only on click", no partner script loads: the calendars are replaced by a button, and nothing is requested from the platform's servers until you click it. The rest of the site works normally, including every booking link.

To change your mind at any time, open "Calendar settings" in the footer and choose "Only on click" or "Load automatically". Switching back to "Only on click" stops future loads but does not delete cookies a platform has already set: remove those in your browser settings.

Our links to GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Headout go straight to the platform. The address contains our partner code, which lets the platform credit the booking to seine.boats; it is not a cookie, and nothing is placed on your device from our site. We have no redirect page and no tracking pixel.

Once you are on the platform's site, the platform may set its own cookies, including the ones used to calculate affiliate commissions. The CNIL considers that those cookies are not exempt from consent: it is therefore up to the platform to ask for your agreement through its own cookie banner, and you can refuse.

Offer photos

The photos on the offer cards are loaded from our partner platforms' image servers. We add no tracking parameters to them. As with any resource loaded from another domain, those servers receive a technical request from your browser; you can block third-party content in your browser settings if you wish.

How to refuse or delete

  • Calendars: "Calendar settings" in the footer, then "Only on click".
  • The sb-cc preference: clear the seine.boats site data in your browser settings (under cookies and site data); the site then goes back to its default behavior.
  • Platform cookies: use the platform's banner while you are on its site, or delete its cookies in your browser.
  • Private browsing: in a private window, the preference and third-party cookies are deleted when you close it.
