Purpose of the site and access

seine.boats is an independent editorial guide to cruises and boat tours on the Seine in Paris and to river cruises to Normandy. The site is free to use, with no sign-up. It sells no services: it describes, compares and links, through affiliate links, to GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Headout, or to the companies' official websites. How those links work is described on our affiliate disclosure page. By using the site, you accept these terms of use.

We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the site, in particular for maintenance, without notice.

Bookings: who your contract is with

seine.boats is not a party to any booking contract. When you book through a link on the site, your contract is with the platform (GetYourGuide, Tiqets or Headout) under its terms and conditions, and the service is provided by the boat company under its own. The price, availability, cancellation, change and refund terms, and the boarding rules, are those shown by the platform or the company at the time of payment.

For leisure services provided on a specific date, the Code de la consommation (the French Consumer Code) grants no 14-day right of withdrawal (article L221-28, 12°); EU consumer law follows the same rule. Whether you can cancel therefore depends on the terms of the offer you choose. Any complaint about a booking should go to the platform or the boat company; see our contact page.

Accuracy of information and liability

We regularly check our information against official sources (see about us). But timetables, routes, menus, prices and piers change often, sometimes without notice: high or low water, weather, events, decisions by the authorities or the companies. Prices shown on the site are a guide and may differ from the final price; only the price on the checkout page counts.

The content of the site is provided for general information. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for any loss resulting from information that has become inaccurate, from the site being unavailable, from a cruise being canceled or changed, or from the way a platform or a company provides its service. Before you set off, check the essential details with the platform or the company.

The site contains links to third-party websites: partner platforms, boat companies, ports, the tourist office. We do not control their content and are not responsible for their practices, including on personal data and cookies. You may link to any page of seine.boats, provided you do not present our content as your own or display it inside a frame that hides where it comes from.

Intellectual property

The texts, layout, illustrations, maps and graphic elements of seine.boats are the property of the publisher, unless stated otherwise. Any reproduction, performance or adaptation, in whole or in part, without written permission is prohibited, except as allowed by the Code de la propriété intellectuelle (the French Intellectual Property Code), in particular short quotations with the source given.

The offer photos come from our partner platforms and remain the property of their owners. The company names and trademarks mentioned, including Bateaux-Mouches® and Batobus, belong to their owners; they are mentioned to identify the services described, with no affiliation with those companies and without using their logos.

If you believe that any content infringes your rights, write to info@seine.boats, stating the page and the content concerned.

Personal data and cookies

How data is handled is described in our privacy policy, and the use of local storage and third-party content in our cookie policy.

Governing law

This legal notice and these terms of use are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first, by writing to info@seine.boats. Failing that, the French courts will have jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory rules that protect consumers, in particular those that allow a consumer to bring a claim before the courts of the place where they live.
